K. T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, launched a sharp attack on A. Revanth Reddy over the political row surrounding Telangana’s debt and public finances. Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, KTR questioned why the Congress government had challenged the BRS to a public debate if it was unwilling to participate. He alleged that senior Congress leaders backed out after issuing the challenge and criticized the government for preventing the discussion.

KTR claimed that senior BRS leaders T. Harish Rao and R. S. Praveen Kumar were stopped by police while heading to the venue for the proposed debate. He accused the Congress government of using the police to avoid facing questions on the state’s finances and alleged corruption. Harish Rao also alleged that there had been financial irregularities in the Welfare Department and claimed the BRS was ready to present evidence, but was prevented from doing so.

KTR further criticized the Congress government over its employment promises, alleging that it had failed to fulfill commitments made during the elections. He claimed the previous BRS government had prioritized employment opportunities for local youth and accused the ruling party of changing its stance on recruitment after coming to power. He also defended R.S. Praveen Kumar, praising his journey from a humble background to becoming an IPS officer, while criticizing the Congress leadership over its remarks against him.

Note: The statements above are political allegations and counter-allegations made by BRS leaders. The Congress government has presented its own position on these issues, and the claims mentioned remain part of an ongoing political dispute.
