The Telangana government has brought good news for farmers by announcing that Rythu Bharosa financial assistance will begin reaching beneficiaries’ bank accounts from June 26.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will formally release the funds during a public meeting in Madhira. Authorities have already begun preparations for the event, and the government has directed the Khammam district administration to complete arrangements on priority.
With the arrival of the southwest monsoon and the onset of seasonal rains, farmers across the state have started preparing for cultivation and are eagerly awaiting investment support from the government. However, the Rythu Bharosa amount will not be released all at once. Instead, it will be credited in phases.
In the first phase, only farmers owning less than one acre of land will receive the benefit. Subsequent installments will cover other categories of farmers in stages.
During a review meeting on the Agriculture Department held at the MCRHRD Bodhi Pavilion in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with ministers and senior officials, discussed welfare initiatives and finalized decisions regarding timely financial assistance to farmers.
The government announced that ₹6,000 per acre will be provided, with a total allocation of ₹9,000 crore earmarked to cover 1.5 crore acres. The Cabinet is expected to approve the release of funds at its meeting on the 18th, after which the disbursement process will commence from June 26.
On the first day itself, around 73 lakh farmers are expected to receive assistance. The government has also decided to establish a special coordination committee to oversee fine-variety paddy cultivation and procurement operations.
Farmers who have already begun agricultural activities are now eagerly waiting for the Rythu Bharosa funds to be credited to their accounts.
