Iran has released a video showing the aftermath of the airstrike that it says killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during the opening phase of the conflict with the United States. According to Iranian officials, Khamenei was killed along with members of his close security team, senior military commanders, and several relatives when the building they were inside was struck. The 35-second video shows a heavily damaged building complex in Tehran following the explosion, with extensive structural destruction visible throughout the site.

Meanwhile, Khamenei’s funeral procession, which began a week ago, is continuing across several cities in Iran and Iraq. Thousands of mourners have gathered along the route to pay their final respects to the longtime Iranian leader. His body is scheduled to be buried on Thursday in his hometown of Mashhad.

Iranian authorities said two key bridges leading into Mashhad were destroyed in recent U.S. strikes, while rail services between Tehran and Mashhad have also been suspended because of the ongoing hostilities. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) accused the United States of deliberately targeting infrastructure to disrupt the funeral arrangements. As fighting between the two countries continues, Iran has warned that it will intensify retaliatory attacks if the United States does not halt its military operations, cautioning that Washington would face “serious consequences.”

Note: The claims in this report—including Khamenei’s death, the cause of the strike, and the motivations attributed to the United States and Iran—are presented as described in your source text and would require independent verification before being reported as established fact.
