Veteran filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, known for creating some of the most innovative films in Telugu cinema, has returned with the thriller Sing Geetham at the age of 94. The film, released in theaters on June 12, received critical acclaim for its unique concept and unconventional storytelling, introducing audiences to scenes and ideas rarely seen before in Telugu cinema.
According to filmmaker Nag Ashwin, the upcoming OTT version of Sing Geetham will feature several changes and surprises that were not present in the theatrical release. Reports suggest that the film is expected to stream on Netflix, although an official confirmation is still awaited.
Nag Ashwin revealed in an interview that the OTT version will include newly added scenes and improvements. He explained that after the theatrical release, the team felt certain aspects of the film could be enhanced. Some computer-generated visual effects did not meet their expectations, so those sequences were reworked and updated for the streaming version.
He also hinted that the climax sequence will be noticeably different in the OTT release. In particular, a scene featuring Vijay Deverakonda is expected to be one of the highlights and may have additional impact in the revised version.
While Nag Ashwin openly discussed the changes being made for the OTT release, he stopped short of confirming Netflix as the streaming platform. According to reports, discussions are still ongoing, and an official announcement regarding the OTT release is expected soon.
